The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions has officially opened its new 22,000-square-foot headquarters in Orlando, Fla., the group announced Tuesday.
IAAPA moved from its former offices in Alexandria, Va., to an office suite in Orlando in 2017, with plans to open a new headquarters by 2019. A major reason for the relocation was the proximity of several major theme parks in the Orlando area, including Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort.
The new headquarters is a $14 million investment for the association. The building features three ceiling heights with a 21-foot-high entryway, meeting rooms, a special event space and lounge, and a library for the association's archives.
IAAPA already holds its annual U.S. Expo in Orlando, with the next event scheduled for November.
